History
Despite her young age, Dr. Kireji is one of the Dome's leading scientists and acts as the Director's science advisor. She has been described as brilliant but arrogant, and some of her theories have garnered her everything from high praise to death threats.
She is best known for advocating interbreeding between humans and mutants as a way of homogenizing the species and maintaining a viable population.
In the scientific community she has had trouble gaining credibility as in addition to being female and relatively young, she is very beautiful. Her opponents tend to refer to her as a "bimbo."

While Lin owns nothing particularly impressive, as far as Dome technology goes, she has access to some rather advanced laboratory equipment.
Skills
Lin is a highly trained biologist and geneticist, and has exceptional talent in dealing with either subject. She is also a very competent chemist and can synthesize a number of chemicals and medicines, given the right materials and equipment. Rumor has it she once punched a guy out, too, but looking at her it's hard to imagine that's true.

Trivia
- The M. is for Morgainne. Lin was named after the literary character from the King Arthur legends. She finds the idea of being named after a fictional witch to be embarrassing and never uses this name, even if she has been encouraged to at least use the initial for the sake of looking more professional (apparently, Lin M. Kireji is more impressive than Lin Kireji).
- In Japanese literature, a "Kireji" is a "cutting word," usually placed within or at the end of a verse of poetry, particularly haiku. It can be used to encourage the reader to reflect upon a line's relation to the rest of the poem or set a specific mood or feel.
