"End of the World" Celebration 20 Dec. 2008 New Phoenix is again alive with the sounds of fireworks and celebrations. This Weekend marks the 70th year after "The End", an event that has forever altered reality and the earth as we know it. Historical Fact: 70 Years ago, US and Russian Nuclear Arsenals laid waste to the earth. It is unknown exactly who fired first, though historians have said that it may have been caused by accident, and others have said it may have been a rogue group. So, during this event, many were ushered into shelters, and one particular one, Constructed by the Lucius Primus, now referred to as the Director (due to his original title as Director of the Optimus Omega Division) has became our home. The Celebrations will involve a parade, a speech by our leaders, and also the fireworks display, both in and outside of the protective dome. We continue our efforts to bring a fair and balanced news to New Phoenix and surrounding areas. We have just recently have revised our newspaper so that submitters will have an easier time of giving us the latest breaking news. We would also like to thank the Director for his endorsement of our newspaper.
